Terms of use

1. Agreement

By downloading, accessing, or using thoughts!, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

For apps downloaded from Apple's App Store, Apple's Standard End User License Agreement applies unless a custom EULA is separately provided and accepted. These Terms describe additional service rules for thoughts! and thoughts! Pro.

2. What thoughts! Does

thoughts! helps you capture notes, links, references, images, files, and reminders, then organize them with user-editable titles, summaries, tags, and PARA folder suggestions.

AI organization uses the engine you select: Apple Intelligence on device where available, or Google Gemini through the configured Vercel gateway. If you select Gemini, content needed for AI organization may be transmitted to Vercel and Google for processing. Deterministic local rules provide a fallback, and the app does not silently switch to a different provider. AI output may be inaccurate or incomplete, and you are responsible for reviewing it.

3. Your Content

You keep ownership of content you add to thoughts!.

You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to save, process, and export content you add to the app. Do not use thoughts! to store or share unlawful content.

thoughts! is a personal productivity tool. It is not a backup, legal, medical, financial, or emergency service.

4. Local Storage And iCloud

thoughts! stores data locally by default. If you approve the currently observed Apple ID and enable iCloud sync, Apple iCloud may store text and metadata. Current sync does not promise complete cross-device transfer of image or file bytes.

You are responsible for maintaining your own backups where needed. The developer is not responsible for data loss caused by device failure, iCloud account issues, user deletion, OS bugs, or unsupported modifications.

5. thoughts! Pro Purchases

thoughts! Pro may offer monthly and yearly auto-renewable subscriptions plus a non-consumable lifetime purchase through the App Store. All verified plans unlock the same Pro features while their StoreKit entitlement is active.

  • Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase.
  • Auto-renewable subscriptions renew unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • Your account may be charged for subscription renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
  • You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your Apple Account settings.
  • The lifetime purchase is charged once, does not auto-renew, and can be restored with the Apple Account that purchased it.
  • Refunds and billing disputes are handled by Apple according to App Store policies.
  • Prices may vary by region and may be shown using App Store localized price points.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Reverse engineer, modify, or misuse the app except where allowed by law.
  • Interfere with app security, signing, subscriptions, or Apple services.
  • Use the app in a way that violates laws or third-party rights.
  • Use saved links or imported files in a way that violates website terms, copyright, or privacy rights.

7. Third-Party Services

thoughts! may interact with Apple services such as App Store, StoreKit, iCloud, Calendar, Photos, Camera, and Apple Intelligence, and with Vercel and Google Gemini when you select Gemini. Those services are governed by their applicable terms and privacy policies.

When you save a link, the app may contact the linked website directly to fetch public metadata or readable content. The linked website may have its own terms and privacy policy.

8. Disclaimers

thoughts! is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and uninterrupted operation.

AI-generated organization, reminders, summaries, tags, and folder suggestions are advisory and may be wrong. You remain responsible for decisions based on app content.

9. Limitation Of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the developer will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, business, reputation, or opportunity arising from use of the app.

10. Changes

These Terms may be updated as the app changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the updated Terms.
